GSE Systems Announces Over $5.0 million of New Work in the Non Nuclear Power Plant Simulation Sector

BALTIMORE-(Business Wire)-October 2, 2008 - GSE Systems, Inc. (GSE) (Amex:GVP), a leading global provider of real-time simulation and training solutions to the power, process, manufacturing and Government sectors, announced the recent award of over $5.0 million in new work for both new and existing facilities in its conventional power plant simulation business sector.

The company has signed contracts for six new full scope simulators for a variety of conventional power plants that include coal fired, natural gas and combined cycle gas turbine systems in the US and Europe. These plants will be implementing control systems from three of the world’s premier digital control system vendors: Emerson, ABB and GE. Additionally, several contracts have been awarded to upgrade existing GSE simulators to reflect plant design changes.
