Mormons Exposed Launches 2009 "Men on a Mission" Calendar

LAS VEGAS-(Business Wire)-October 2, 2008 - Mormons Exposed has announced the launch of the 2009 edition of its controversial Men on a Mission calendar, featuring twelve sexy returned Mormon missionaries posing shirtless. Created to encourage religious and cultural tolerance, and to support charities around the world, the newest issue is now on sale, defying the wishes of Mormon Church leaders.

Featuring a bare-chested returned missionary depicting a heavenly angel on its front cover, the creators of Men on a Mission want to further encourage the dialogue created by their 2008 calendar. This groundbreaking calendar was the subject of countless news reports, articles and blogs with varying reaction coming from each end of the spectrum.

Intended to offer a light-hearted spin on a social taboo, the Men on a Mission calendar is a tongue-in-cheek celebration of the selfless servitude of missionaries. Unfortunately for Chad Hardy, creator of Men on a Mission, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was not amused. After refusing to stop production of the calendar, Hardy was excommunicated in a formal church court in July for “conduct unbecoming a member of the church.â€

“Men on a Mission is more than just a calendar - it’s a movement to offer a hand of friendship to bridge gaps between religious and cultural differences, beliefs and lifestyles,†says Hardy. “Even though the church doesn’t like it, thousands of people have been inspired by the calendar and we have helped others through our charitable contributions.â€

One such charity that Mormons Exposed will support is Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) by donating the proceeds of an eBay auction featuring the garment model Cody Bloomfield wears on the cover of the 2009 calendar. Mormons Exposed will also present twelve charities selected by the models with a portion of the proceeds of every calendar sold.

Casting is now underway for the 2010 edition of Men on a Mission as well as for a new calendar called Hot Mormon Muffins: A Taste of Motherhood. With this new offering, which will feature sexy Mormon mothers posing provocatively and sharing their favorite recipes, Mormons Exposed hopes to once again encourage discussions about social and religious standards with a sense of humor.

Mormons Exposed is a brand created by CMH Entertainment based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Co-founded by Chad Hardy and Fred Brodsky, CMH Entertainment plans to introduce additional brands in the near future, each intended to make people think, laugh and discuss the world that we live in.
