Capital City Energy Group Appoints New President

COLUMBUS, Ohio-(Business Wire)-October 1, 2008 - Daniel R. Coffee was recently named as President of Capital City Energy Group, Inc. (OTCBB:CETG). As President, Coffee provides the leadership necessary to position the company at the forefront of the oil & natural gas industry.

Coffee joined the firm in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer. He was responsible for locating and analyzing oil & natural gas companies for acquisition, in addition to the acquisition of oil & natural gas properties for the company’s portfolio and for the Capital City Energy Funds. Coffee is also the CEO of Eastern Well Services LLC, a subsidiary of Capital City Energy Group. Eastern Wells Services provides oil & natural gas companies with wireline, fracturing, cementing, logging and testing services.

For the past 10 years, Coffee worked at Superior Well Services LTD (SWSI) as Manager of Business Development and Corporate Acquisitions, Wireline Division Manager and Corporate Radiation Safety Officer.

In the 1990s, Coffee was a Field Sales and Logging Specialist for Schlumberger LTD (SLB). He was a Sales Manager at the district level where he assisted clients with formation evaluations, coordinated well logging operations, designed and implemented well-perforation completions and assisted in problem- solving conditions with clients.

Prior to Schlumberger, Coffee spent 16 years with Eastern Well Surveys as a District Manager and Field Engineer.

Coffee is a board member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (Ohio Chapter) and a member of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association. He has a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on operational management from American InterContinental University.
