L2 Consulting Services, Inc. Awarded 737NG Iridium Certification Project from a Major US Carrier

AUSTIN, Texas-(Business Wire)-September 30, 2008 - L2 Consulting Services, Inc. (L2) has been selected by a Major US Carrier (unnamed at this point) to certify an International Communications Group (ICG) Iridium NxtLink 220A Iridium satellite communication system on 737NG aircraft. The certification is being undertaken to allow voice and ACARS operations beyond land-based VHF coverage.

L2 President, Mark Lebovitz said, “This particular certification project is extremely time sensitive since it will allow for the introduction of new service routes for our customer.”

The ICG Iridium NxtLink 220A device is a comprehensive communications system that provides the Flight Crew with a dedicated Datalink channel to support; ACARS, FANs messaging, CPDLC and an exclusive global voice channel. L2 currently holds existing Iridium certifications on B747, B757 and B767 aircraft.
