The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. Announces New Location for Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Store

YORK, Pa.-(Business Wire)-September 26, 2008 - The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: BONT) today announced it has signed a lease with 1645 N. Spring Street, LLC, a Beaver Dam, Wisconsin based investment group, for the space formerly occupied by Wal-Mart in their Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Heritage Village Mall.

The existing 35,000 square foot Herberger's store will move into the former Wal-Mart premises attached to the mall. The Company is scheduled to take possession of the 71,500 square feet building during February 2009. The new location will be renovated and is scheduled to open in fall 2009 under the Boston Store nameplate. The new store will include increased assortments in apparel, cosmetics, fashion accessories and home.
