Starline's New Hop-on, Hop-off Downtown Route is FREE This Weekend (9/27-9/28)
LOS ANGELES-(Business Wire)-September 25, 2008 - Starline Tours has announced FREE service this coming weekend (9/27-9/28) for their new Downtown route. To board the route free of charge, riders can board the bus at any one of Starlineβs 13 bus stops in Downtown. For those attending the Grand Avenue Festival on Sunday 9/28 looking to take advantage of this one-time-only offer, Starlineβs usual stop at Walt Disney Concert Hall will move nearby to the west end of the Music Center plaza next to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (200 N. Hope Street).
The free ride is only available for patrons who board the bus in Downtown. Those who board in Downtown also will be permitted to continue the tour into Hollywood and all other stops along the regular hop-on, hop-off route. Tours are available from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. both days. The shuttle to the Hollywood hop-on, hop-off route is available across the street from the Music Center Downtown pick up on the east side of Hope Street in front of the DWP building (200 N. Hope Street).
Starline Tours has been operating in Los Angeles since 1935, and is offering hop-on, hop-off bus tours of Downtown LA so that riders can visit the Civic Centerβs cultural and architectural icons at their leisure. The Downtown LA tour will begin at Olvera Street, the site of El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument. Among the tour stops are the Civic Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, the historic movie theaters along Broadway, the Los Angeles Central Library, STAPLES Center and the L.A. LIVE entertainment district.
