Original Milk Farm Sign Offered For Sale

DAVIS, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 23, 2008 - The Milk Farm was a famous stopping point for travelers using US Highway 40 between San Francisco, Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. For many years it offered all the milk one could drink for 5 cents and the best milk shakes in Northern California. Numerous celebrities, like Bing Crosby and Jack Dempsey, were regulars at the Milk Farm Restaurant.

The large cow mounted over the restaurant sign has neon lights that provide a detailed outline of the image. Designed to be seen from the busy roadway, it measures approximately 14 feet across.
