KEYMILE to Exhibit at Broadband World Forum Europe, September 29 - October 2, 2008 at Stand 262
HANOVER, Germany-(Business Wire)-September 5, 2008 - KEYMILE will show live in a Triple Play application its Next-Generation Access platform MileGate that helps telecommunications companies to expand their networks so they are future proof.
KEYMILE, a leading manufacturer and supplier of Next-Generation Access systems, will demonstrate in Brussels new functions featured in its IP based Multi-Service Access Node MileGate. The new, integrated CESoP functions will enhance MileGate's capabilities in migration from TDM services to All-IP. With EFM (Ethernet-on-the-first-Mile), MileGate facilitates the provision of symmetrical business customer services via SHDSL.
The new CEOP1 card offers circuit emulation functions and enables the transmission of TDM services via the Ethernet/IP core network. As a result, it is easier for network operators to migrate their communications networks to an All-IP network: TDM services can still be offered, but are transmitted in the core network via Ethernet/IP.
With its new SUSE1 card, MileGate can now offer Ethernet-on-the-first-Mile for SHDSL data transmission too. SHDSL is particularly interesting for business customers, due to the greater transmission range and the ability to bundle several transmission wires (pair bonding). The EFM protocol makes Ethernet on the last mile available and therefore standardises the transmission protocol between subscriber and core network.
KEYMILE is a leading manufacturer and provider of Next-Generation-Access systems with integrated central network management. KEYMILE’s products range from IP-DSLAMs to Multi-Service Access platforms and SHDSL-transmission solutions, to specific transmission systems for Industrial Ethernet applications. More than 16 million access lines in over 100 countries prove that KEYMILE are true professionals. The company, with headquarters in Brunn am Gebirge in Austria, has subsidiaries worldwide and numerous customers from the public and private telecommunications operator segments.
