Ice Available

The Rite Aid store at 7060 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA, (504-883-5636) also is selling 20-pound ice bags to the public for $4. More than 200,000 pounds of ice were sold in Baton Rouge since Sunday, and two Rite Aid stores there are now selling ice. Those stores are located at 2152 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA (225-272-5370) and 11080 Greenwell Springs Rd., Baton Rouge, LA (225-273-6525). The company will continue to truck in ice and other supplies where most needed.

Relief teams of Rite Aid associates, including store cashiers and pharmacists, have traveled or are traveling from Tennessee and unaffected areas of Louisiana and Alabama to help stores that have been impacted and to help reopen additional stores.

Rite Aid continues to reopen its Gulf Coast stores impacted by Hurricane Gustav evacuations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Customers and patients should check on a store’s status as some pharmacies have not opened, or regular operating hours are affected by curfews.
