Counterpoint Systems Appoints Steve Pitts as Senior V.P./General Manager

LONDON-(Business Wire)-September 4, 2008 - Counterpoint Systems, a developer of software solutions for rights management, royalty accounting and product licensing, has appointed Steve Pitts to the post of Senior Vice President and General Manager for North America. Pitts will oversee all day-to-day operations for the company and will work to both strengthen Counterpoint’s dominance in its core markets, and to raise its profile in new and developing markets, such as film and television markets, and product licensing. Pitts arrives with nearly two decades of senior-level experience in information technology and project management, including service as Vice President for Studio and Feature Production IT at 20th Century Fox.

The move is part of Counterpoint Systems’ current effort to broaden its marketing reach and to create greater awareness, in the entertainment industry and elsewhere, for its Media Maestro product line and other solutions. “Steve brings a wealth of experience in working with companies, large, mid-sized and small, and in helping them to implement leading edge technologies,” said Amos Biegun, CEO of Counterpoint Systems. “He has the ability to see the big picture and the skill to mobilize teams to carry out sophisticated, multidimensional projects.”

Pitts most recently served as Vice President/Services for Mesoft, a developer of digital asset management and workflow solutions used in film and television production. During his previous tenure as Vice President for Studio and Feature Production IT at 20th Century Fox, he managed end-to-end IT initiatives related to film and television production, studio operations, and licensing and merchandising. His background also includes service as a management consultant to PwC Consulting, and as Director of IS Production Services at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
