Civil Service Employees Insurance Group Hires Bo Brown as Senior Territory Marketing Representative in Arizona

SAN FRANCISCO-(Business Wire)-September 4, 2008 - Civil Service Employees Insurance Group (CSE Insurance), a leader in providing civil service employees with quality protection at affordable rates, has hired Joseph “Bo” Brown as Senior Territory Marketing Representative for the state of Arizona.

In his new role, Mr. Brown will recruit and train new CSE Insurance agents and will also serve as marketing representative and a resource on their behalf.

“Bo brings to the CSE Insurance team a solid marketing background with a strong reputation in developing sound marketing strategies,” said Pierre Bize, President and CEO of CSE Insurance. “We are happy to have Bo on our side and look forward to him helping build our presence in Arizona.”

Mr. Brown joins CSE from The Solid Group, an independent insurance agency that he founded in Gilbert, AZ. During his time there as President/Managing Partner, he hired and developed a team of sales agents, and sold and worked with a variety of insurance products and solutions. He and his team routinely exceeded sales goals each year, including attaining 150% of goals in 2006 and 2007.

“Bo has a history of exceeding goals and expectations,” said John Miller, CSE Senior Territorial Marketing Representative. “His experience in handling large accounts and cultivating leads will make him a valuable member of the CSE team.”

Previously, Mr. Brown was a Direct Sales Manager in Phoenix for Progressive Insurance Group. In this role, he successfully managed a team of 23 insurance sales agents who sold insurance products in 48 states. He also drove team results to be within the top ten in the company four years straight and developed and implemented policies and procedures that positively impacted sales results over 120%.

Prior to that, Mr. Brown was Office Manager at American Family Insurance in Tempe, AZ, where he handled the day-to-day operations of an office with 15 agents. He also was responsible for hiring and training new clerical staff.

Mr. Brown earned an Associate of Arts degree from Chandler-Gilbert Community College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from University of Phoenix. In addition, he is a graduate of the Arizona School of Business and Real Estate, the Insurance and Securities School of Arizona, and Phoenix Insurance and Securities School.
