Creative Touch Interiors and Comcast Support State's Homeless at HomeAid Colorado's Eighth Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser
DENVER-(Business Wire)-September 3, 2008 - Creative Touch Interiors and Comcast have stepped up to lead sponsorship of HomeAid Colorado’s Eighth Annual Fashion Show and Gala, which raises funds to build dignified housing for the more than 12,000 people homeless in Colorado on any given night. Creative Touch Interiors (CTI) is the Presenting Sponsor of the event, “It’s a Jungle Out There,†which will be held Sept. 19, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the Wildlife Experience in Parker, Colo., with Comcast providing additional leadership support.
CTI has been a sponsor of the HomeAid Fashion Show Fundraiser since 2005. This is the company’s first year as presenting sponsor. The company is one of the nation’s largest premium interiors partners to the building industry with 80 design centers in 17 states. Creative Touch Interiors has participated in eight HomeAid Colorado projects to date.
“Interior design and fashion design are innately linked because they allow people to show off their taste and style to those around them,†said John Tripp, district business development manager for the Rocky Mountain region of CTI. “Sponsoring this event is a natural fit for our company that contributes to an extremely worthy cause – ending homelessness.â€
Comcast is a Gold Level Sponsor of this year’s event, and the Video Production Sponsor. Comcast donated all the production work to create HomeAid’s new video, which will be premiered at the Fashion Show Fundraiser Sept. 19. Comcast has been a sponsor of this event since 2006 and also supports HomeAid by providing volunteers to help maintain facilities built by the organization. During the most recent Comcast Cares Day, more than 150 Comcast employees and family members helped make repairs and improvements at HomeAid Colorado homes.
“Comcast believes it is important to support non-profits in a variety of ways. By donating much-needed cash, our expertise in video production and the time and commitment of our team, everyone benefits and develops a connection with the important work of HomeAid Colorado,†said Scott Binder, senior vice president of Comcast Colorado.
Additional sponsors include Colorado Association of Home Builders, John Laing Homes, Qwest and Standard Pacific Homes.
The fashion show is HomeAid Colorado’s only annual fundraising event and raises nearly a third of the agency’s annual budget each year. Funds raised at the event help the organization build quality homes for the temporarily homeless throughout the state. The 8th Annual Fashion show gala begins at 6 p.m. on Sept. 19 and will feature fashions from popular boutiques at Village Shops at the Landmark, including Moda Men’s Apparel, Players Men’s Shop, A-Line Women’s Fashion, and Ella Bleu & Ella Baby. Tickets to the event are available at HomeAid Colorado’s Web site, www.hacolo.org/fashion or by calling 303.691.0104.
