New Miami Office Expands (add)ventures' Global Reach
MIAMI-(Business Wire)-September 3, 2008 - To build on its continued growth and expansion, Providence, R.I.-based (add)ventures has opened a new Latin America Gateway office in the heart of South Beach on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, Fla. The new office will focus on helping new and existing clients transcend language and culture through multidisciplinary, multicultural brand communication solutions.
“Miami is the capital of Latin America and the (add)ventures gateway for our client partners to emerging markets and diverse cultures in the United States and across the Americas,†says Stephen Rosa, founder and chief executive officer of (add)ventures. “Our work is multicultural and our impact multinational. Just as (add)ventures keeps tabs on the new Europe from our office in Estonia, our South Beach location will keep us at the forefront of Latin culture and its growing economic power.â€
According to the Beacon Council, Miami-Dade county’s official economic development partnership, more than 1,000 multinational corporations and thousands of other companies call Miami home, in large part due to its accessibility to the world’s most important markets and a highly trained, multilingual workforce that facilitates doing business in Latin America, Europe or Asia. At the same time, Miami and Miami Beach have consistently rated among the top vacation destinations in the world, and Lincoln Road, home of (add)ventures’ Miami office, is considered the cultural center of South Florida.
“Miami represents the future of American cities,†according to Rosa. “In South Beach, people of all races set aside their cultural differences, celebrate their diversity and enjoy the best that life has to offer. That’s what (add)ventures is all about. We chose Lincoln Road, a global destination for retail, food, hospitality and culture, to be our Miami home because it is a reflection of key industries we serve.â€
Angie Henderson Moncada, who is fluent in Spanish and holds a master’s degree in International Administration from the University of Miami, has been promoted to managing director of the Miami office for (add)ventures and returns to Miami to oversee the expansion effort. Moncada previously worked in strategic and communications roles in Miami at Miami International University of Art & Design, South Florida After School All Stars, and as a principal at Henderson International Language Services, working with clients including the University of Miami and KPMG.
“The opportunity to come back to Miami with the support of our team in Providence is a personal and professional thrill for me,†says Moncada. “I am so excited to introduce former colleagues and the business community here to the expertise and solutions (add)ventures can provide.â€
Following a nearly three-year tenure on the board of directors of the Public Relations Society of America’s Southeastern New England Chapter, Angie will continue to be active in the Miami chapter of PRSA. She will also expand (add)ventures’ commitment to City Year by serving as a volunteer communications advisor to the soon-to-be-launched City Year Miami, beginning with their Opening Day celebration on September 26, 2008.
