Helix Electric Completes Electrical Contracting Project for Carlsbad Ranch Resort Center
CARLSBAD, Calif.-(Business Wire)-August 29, 2008 - Helix Electric, one of the largest open shop electrical contractors in the nation, has completed an electrical contracting project for the Carlsbad Ranch Resort Center, Phase I.
Located on 15 acres at the crossroads of Carlsbad's tourism and business districts, Carlsbad Ranch Resort Center, Phase I opened in March 2008. The project included 250 guest rooms, including 13 suites and 25,000 square feet of meeting and conference facilities. A subcontractor on the project, Helix Electric worked around one challenge — some of the decorative fixtures weighed more than 500 pounds each, making it necessary for Helix to design the structural and seismic support system before the electrical wiring could be completed.
The project team for the Carlsbad Ranch Resort Center includes the owner, Grand Pacific Carlsbad Hotel, LP; architect, Nogle Onufer Associates; and general contractor, Davis Reed Construction, Inc.
