Fold, Fold, Tuck and Roll: Del Taco Makes Macho Debut at Arts, Beats & Eats
PONTIAC, Mich.-(Business Wire)-August 29, 2008 - Five years ago, when Del Taco opened its first Michigan restaurant, fast food fans in the Detroit area made their way to Del Taco in droves. Now Del Taco is meeting fans more than halfway when the company debuts at the Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats Festival from Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 in Pontiac, Michigan.
This year, Del Taco joins more than 50 restaurants at the state's largest music, food and art festival. The Del Taco food booth, located at the corner of Saginaw and Pike St., will feature Del Taco's Macho Tacos, Macho Nachos and the chain's signature Bean & Cheese burritos.
In addition to serving up great food, Del Taco's experts will demonstrate how to roll the perfect burrito using their acclaimed "fold, fold, tuck and roll" technique.
"Del Taco's signature burritos are well known for the combination of great ingredients, big flavor and of course, for being rolled perfectly. We are excited to share Del Taco food, and our secrets, with the thousands of people who come to Arts, Beats & Eats," said Ben Cheshire, Del Taco franchisee and owner of the Del Taco in Clawson.
At Del Taco, food is prepared to order using freshly grated cheddar cheese, beans cooked from scratch, hand-made salsa and chicken grilled fresh every hour. In addition to its Mexican menu, Del Taco serves burgers, world-famous crinkle cut fries and premium shakes.
Proceeds from the Arts, Beats & Eats festival will support charities in the Detroit area.
Del Taco currently operates four restaurants in Michigan and more than 500 restaurants in 15 other states. For more information about Del Taco, please visit www.deltaco.com.
