ISMANING, Germany-(Business Wire)-August 28, 2008 - PLAZAMEDIA is Germanyβs largest sports TV producer as well as a media-neutral, full-service provider for television and new media. To implement the eCenter, PLAZAMEDIA considerably optimised and extended its existing technical infrastructure on the AGROB site in Ismaning, near Munich. Its existing production environments in the areas of Recording, Post-production, Archive, Broadcasting and Studio were interconnected via a high-performance IP network. The shared file-based infrastructure now in place noticeably simplifies and speeds up the production processes. This offers PLAZAMEDIAβs customers the maximum economic benefit. Thanks to the eCenter, they can implement new programme, sales and business ideas at any time. The Media Asset Management (MAM) system βMedia Archiveβ from Blue Order allows them fast access to material and transparent, efficient material management. In the field of material storage and distribution, the central archive allows an even more innovative service: The material can be selected and edited from external workstations, giving customers optimum flexibility.
