Rolls-Royce Names New Communications Manager for North American Defense Sector
INDIANAPOLIS-(Business Wire)-August 25, 2008 - Rolls-Royce has appointed Karin Ricketts as Manager, Corporate Communications, responsible for communications support of the company's defense business in North America including Rolls-Royce North America Technologies Inc. - LibertyWorks®.
Each year, Rolls-Royce businesses and operations in North America generate over $3 billion in sales and the company's total U.S. investment is nearly $1 billion. The region is home to the global headquarters for several Rolls-Royce businesses including Energy, Corporate & Regional Aircraft, Helicopter Engines and Defense North America. More Rolls-Royce engines are built in the United States than anywhere else in the world.
Ricketts, who is based at the Rolls-Royce facility in Indianapolis, Indiana, joins the company with 12 years of media and communications experience with leading Fortune 500 companies. In her new role, she will be responsible principally for media relations and communications strategy for the Indianapolis-based businesses.

Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Ricketts worked at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis in roles including corporate communications manager, internal communications consultant and e-communications manager. Ricketts has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Indianapolis University and is a board member of the International Association of Business Communicators Heritage Region.
