UCI Awards PG&E Top Utility Communicator Honors
HOUSTON-(Business Wire)-July 17, 2008 - The top utility communicator in the United States is PG&E, says Utility Communicators International (UCI), which recently announced the winners of the annual Better Communications Competition, the advertising profession's oldest continuous creative communications competition in America.
PG&E, a large, California-based utility topped dozens of gas, electric, and water utilities for the top honor at the association's annual meeting at the Hilton Washington Hotel in Washington, D.C.
"PG&E's creative consistency and integration of marketing, conservation, public relations and image campaigns clearly makes it one of the best utility communication organizations in the North America," said Lora Spiller, chairman of the competition and director of advertising for Dominion Resources in Richmond, Virginia.
