Bravo TV's Top Chef Winner to Cook at Tahoe Food Festival

TAHOE CITY, Calif.-(Business Wire)-July 1, 2008 - Chef and restaurateur Stephanie Izard, the winner of the fourth season of Bravo TV's Top Chef, recently signed on to host a cooking seminar at the 23rd Annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival, scheduled for September 5-7 in the outdoors at the new Village at Northstar(TM).

In addition to her Top Chef honor, Izard, 31, took home Bravo TV's Fan Favorite Award. She is also the first woman to win the competition. Izard resides in Chicago, where until recently she was the chef and owner of Scylla. She is now traveling domestically and internationally, and scouting locations for a new Chicago restaurant.

The Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival, co-presented by The Ritz Carlton Club, Lake Tahoe and Sunset Magazine, is designed for all ages and features popular, long-standing events, such as cooking and outdoor grilling classes with celebrity chefs; Blazing Pans Mountain Chef Cook-Off(C) (Iron Chef(C) style); vertical, portfolio and vineyard designated premium wine and spirits tastings; kids' cooking classes and activities; a grape stomp; winery dinners; live wine auction; and the Grand Tasting and Culinary Competition. Live music, dancing and evening gatherings around the outdoor fireplaces will be featured throughout the weekend along with alfresco wine and gourmet product tastings and special events at the Gourmet Marketplace in the Northstar Village.

This year's celebrity chefs also include Joseph Keller of Bouchon in Yountville, California, and Bouchon in Las Vegas and Bistro Zinc Restaurant in Henderson, Nevada; Lars Kronmark of the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, California (winner of Chef of the Year from the Cordon d'Or, Gold Ribbon International Culinary Academy Awards); renowned Chef Douglas Dale of Wolfdale's Cuisine Unique in Tahoe City, California; Master Sommelier Robert Bath M.S.; and Chef-Instructor Lara Ritchie of the Nothing to It Culinary Center in Reno, Nevada.
