Turning Technologies, LLC Establishes Product Integration With Respondus, Inc.
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio-(Business Wire)-July 1, 2008 - Today Turning Technologies LLC, a leader in the student response industry, announced their product integration with Respondus 3.5, a leading assessment authoring tool. This new functionality to Turning's flagship product, TurningPoint, will allow for the creation of a TurningPoint presentation slide deck from assessment content created with Respondus 3.5.
TurningPoint, interactive PowerPoint(R) software, allows professors and teachers to instantly assess comprehension and to measure student knowledge and opinions. Instructors present an interactive TurningPoint question, and students typically respond via credit card sized keypads or "clickers" called ResponseCards(R). TurningPoint displays the aggregate results instantly in chart format, and instructors can immediately assess student understanding and/or gather valuable feedback.
Respondus 3.5 allows for the creation and management of assessments that can be printed to paper or used with TurningPoint, Blackboard, eCollege, WebCT, or IMS QTI-compliant eLearning systems. Thousands of colleges and secondary schools in over 50 countries use Respondus 3.5 to enhance the capabilities of their course management systems. Using Respondus 3.5, educators can export assessment content to the IMS QTI format. Then educators can import this file into a TurningPoint presentation slide deck for use in the classroom or lecture hall.
