eForce Media Names Jeffrey Schwartz President and CEO
SANTA MONICA, Calif.-(Business Wire)-July 1, 2008 - eForce Media, a leading customer identification and sales lead generation company, today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Schwartz to the position of president/CEO and director of the eForce board of directors, and the concurrent acquisition of Vertical Passion Media, LLC.
Jeffrey Schwartz is a proven innovator in automotive marketing and online sales lead generation. Schwartz is the former president and CEO of Autobytel (Nasdaq: ABTL), where he led the company during a period of exceptional growth. During Schwartz's tenure at Autobytel, he oversaw impressive revenue growth and profitability, generated over $40 billion in sales annually for its participating dealers, launched several leading products including WebControl and RPM, and established a marketing and media platform that included properties such as CarTV.com. Prior to Autobytel, Schwartz was president and CEO of Autoweb (Nasdaq: AWEB) and vice president at the Walt Disney Company, where he was charged with establishing the company's long-term strategic marketing alliances.
Vertical Passion Media, LLC, (VPM) is the parent company of several popular online destinations, including www.sellitnowmotors.com, and has established itself as a leader in the private party auto classified listings and lead generation area. Schwartz is its founder and CEO.
Schwartz succeeds eForce's current CEO, Anthony Mazzarella, who will continue to serve on the eForce Media board of directors. Mazzarella served as eForce's CEO for two and a half years, overseeing the development of eForce's proprietary technology platform and leading eForce through three financings and one major acquisition.
