Titan Tire Announces Production of 59/80R63 Super Giant Steel-Belted Radial Mining Tire
QUINCY, Ill.-(Business Wire)-July 1, 2008 - Titan Tire Corporation, a subsidiary of Titan International Inc., has released its new super giant 63-inch steel-belted radial tire to production, beginning at its facility in Bryan, Ohio, after July 7, 2008.
"We believe this is the beginning of a change in the specialty tire and wheel business worldwide," said Titan Chairman and CEO Maurice M. Taylor Jr. "This tire should out-perform any tire out there and we think as production moves forward, we should continue to find more ways to improve these giant tires. The first 12 sets of tires should be shipped to Canada's tar sands in July. It is Titan's goal to ship a minimum of 900 giant 63-inch tires before year-end."
