Abviva, Inc.: New Case of Mad Cow Disease Detected in North America

LOS ANGELES-(Business Wire)-June 30, 2008 - Abviva, Inc. (OTCBB: AVVA) today announced that BioBDC International (BioBDC), Abviva's exclusive sales agent for Mad Cow diagnostic tests produced by Abviva's subsidiary company Prion Developmental Laboratories, Inc. (PDL), reported the Canadian Food Inspection Agency confirmed a new case of mad cow disease, bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), was discovered in western Canada, increasing consumer's concerns over beef safety.

This discovery came only two weeks after over 100,000 South Korean's protested against their government's agreement to re-start importing U.S. beef. Many South Korean's fear U.S. beef is not safe citing concerns that most U.S beef is not tested for BSE.

PDL developed a fast and inexpensive on-site diagnostic test that can increase consumer protection by determining if cattle are infected with Mad Cow Disease. The estimated cost to consumers for this added protection is less than $0.05 per pound.
