Investors Seek Growth in Small and Mid-Cap Retail Stocks at 8th Annual Oppenheimer Consumer Growth Conference
NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-June 26, 2008 - Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. has assembled an impressive list of 90 companies for its 8th Annual Consumer Growth Conference. The event, considered one of the leading investor conferences for consumer growth companies, will be held in Boston on July 8th - 10th at the Four Seasons Hotel.
On July 8th and 9th, the conference will focus on consumer growth companies, providing a valuable mid-year opportunity to assess the state of the consumer and the outlook for retail, restaurant, hardline, consumer products, gaming, lodging and leisure industries in the second half of 2008 and beyond.
On July 10th, the conference will feature companies from the Gaming, Lodging & Leisure sectors. The recent past has brought important changes in how this sector is evaluated, which should continue to impact the investment decision process. The conference will highlight the increasing focus on companies' capital structure, particularly among gaming and lodging companies. Another major focus is growth beyond the U.S., which has become critical, but is less certain and arguably more challenging to forecast than domestic market growth.
In addition to executive presentations to investors and analysts, the conference features keynote speakers James F. Allen and Marshal Cohen.
— James F. Allen is CEO of Gaming Operations for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. With Allen's vision and direction, the two Seminole Hard Rock Casinos and the four Seminole Indian Casinos form the largest gaming enterprise in Florida and one of the top gaming entities nationally.
— Marshal Cohen is Chief Industry Analyst from the NPD Group and author of "Why Customers Do What They Do." Cohen is one of the foremost authorities on consumer behavior, having followed retail trends for more than 30 years.
