''Carbon Free Meeting Coalition'' Forms to Support Reduction of CO2 Gases Through Use of Advanced Communication Technologies

LAS VEGAS-(Business Wire)-June 18, 2008 - Today, at the INFOCOMM trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, it was announced that the Carbon Free Meeting Coalition has been formed to bring together like minded Fortune 1000 corporations, leading international and domestic companies and small and medium sized businesses interested in the use of advanced communication technologies to reduce their organizations carbon footprint.

The Carbon Free Meeting Coalition will act as a conduit across business communities, technology developers and manufacturers, environmental groups, policy thought leaders and government agencies to collaborate in open discussion on how, together, they can ensure that the needs of both the environment and the business community as a whole are aligned.

The Coalition will also be outlining its signature "C02 Free Meeting Company" standardization program, which will serve to outline key parameters organizations must meet to be recognized as a "C02 Free Meeting Company" program participant and to obtain the recognition and opportunities available to organizations that meet these standards. The Carbon Free Meeting Coalition is already working with organizations and policy makers to form agreement on a measurable link between the use of advanced technologies and its impact on the reduction of corporate carbon footprints.

"While working with some of the world's leading video conferencing and collaboration service providers, I had hundreds of discussions with companies across industries who were very interested in discovering how they can best utilize advanced audio and video communication and collaboration technologies to reduce the carbon emissions attributable to their company," said Stu Gold, Founder and Executive Director of the Carbon Free Meeting Coalition. "Based on those discussions, coupled with the growing interest from businesses around the world about how they can "go green" and the ongoing policy debates regarding Carbon Tax Credits, it was suggested by business leaders and public policy makers that forming an industry wide coalition that would address these issues would be of significant value to those companies involved, the communication industry as a whole and both private and public sector thought leaders and policy makers."

The Carbon Free Meeting Coalition expects to announce its initial charter group of participating companies and present its Executive and Advisory Board members in by the end of August and plans to launch its expanded website at that time.
