Viewers Can Watch Contestants of the 2008 Miss Louisiana Pageant Shine Online for Free

SHREVEPORT, La.-(Business Wire)-June 18, 2008 - Twenty five southern belles will compete for the coveted Miss Louisiana title beginning June 19, 2008. For the second year in a row, all pageant content from the three-day event will be broadcast free online by revolutionary online broadcasting company Network Foundation Technologies(TM) (NFT).

"Last year was the first year we tried the Webcast, and the professionals at NFT made it easy. The response was tremendous with the number of hits we had worldwide, so it was easy for us to go to our sponsors and show them the quality of the Webcast and the number of viewers we had," said Wayne Gentry, Executive Producer of the pageant.

NFT's patented technology creates an attractive and efficient platform for small content providers who cannot afford typical bandwidth costs or pricey cable and Pay-Per-View options. NFT's distributed broadcast model allows customers to deliver high-quality, live television-style content to large, geographically diverse audiences for free and at a fraction of the bandwidth cost of other online broadcasting technologies. This FREE-For-View model promotes exposure for the content provider, maintaining a steady audience base with the free, easy-to-use platform.

NFT's unique video broadcasting solution incorporates a customizable, downloadable player that broadcasts content directly to the viewer's computer desktop. Fans can go to www.misslouisiana.org and download the pageant's official TV player to gain access to content and see which contestant will compete in the prestigious Miss America competition. "People who are unable to attend our live event are already buzzing about being able to enjoy the show over the web," said Gentry.

"We look forward to broadcasting the Miss Louisiana competition again this year and creating a worldwide digital platform for fans of the venerable Miss America organization," said Marcus Morton, President and CEO of NFT.

NFT's distributed broadcast model avoids the pitfalls inherent in peer-to-peer file sharing systems by enabling the distribution of live content, eliminating the need to store data on each viewer's hard drive, and limiting use of Internet connections to only those time periods when the viewer is actively tuned to a program. This patented technology builds and maintains a highly stable broadcast network by using the turnover inherent in distributed networks to drive the most reliable active connections to the most critical regions of the network, ensuring that quality of service remains high. By never requiring any computer in the network to retransmit more than two copies of the broadcast stream, the network can continue expanding while keeping bandwidth costs low and controlled.

NFT's emerging presence in the world of events and sports is strong. The company has broadcast content on the Barksdale Air Force Base "Defenders of Liberty" Airshow, the Miss Louisiana pageant and events for Black Light Burns and StoneSour. NFT also has ongoing partnerships with top sports leagues such as the Chicago Bandits, arenafootball2, USA Weightlifting, USA Judo and the Central Hockey League.
