M3 Technology Group Successfully Deploys Exchange 2007 for Extended Stay Hotels

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-(Business Wire)-June 18, 2008 - M3 Technology Group (M3TG), the global leader in customized professional and managed services for messaging platforms, today announced it has successfully completed a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 deployment and migration for Extended Stay Hotels (ESH). The Exchange 2007 system replaces the infrastructure the growing hotel company had previously used for all of its e-mail and messaging activities. The migration allows ESH to operate more efficiently, creating an enhanced experience for its guests with full-service extended stay lodging facility needs.

ESH chose M3TG, with its exclusive focus on messaging, to perform the Exchange 2007 deployment and migration, enabling ESH to enhance server performance and keep pace with greater messaging demands. M3TG provided the company with a customized solution that included a phased mailbox and data migration plan to ensure continuity, resiliency and high availability for ESH's end-users. This solution allowed the M3TG team to effectively migrate from Exchange 2003 to the new platform by closely collaborating with ESH business teams to minimize downtime.

"M3 Technology Group's methodology enabled the migration team to effectively plan mailbox and data moves in concert with the ESH business teams and minimize downtime to end users. Our team is able to rest assured knowing that M3TG is monitoring our systems 24/7/365. We can focus on strategic goals while M3TG keeps a proactive eye on our environment," says Ira Greenfield, vice president of information technology for ESH.

ESH's partnership with M3TG has enabled the company to increase enterprise and employee productivity with faster, easier access to e-mail data and other essential messaging operations. Using a multi-tiered approach to mail flow, the new Exchange 2007 environment has introduced resiliency and availability, alleviating performance issues of the past. Exchange 2007's built-in protection technologies keep ESH's system continually running while protecting it from threats. Should a server go down, ESH's system will be automatically redirected to available devices, minimizing downtime. As a result of M3TG's expert design and deployment, ESH can increase scalability and incorporate further enhancements with minimal effort.

Following the successful deployment of Exchange 2007, M3TG upgraded ESH's messaging environment by migrating more than 1,400 ESH e-mail users. The e-mail migration to Exchange 2007 allows ESH users to retain more e-mail while reducing inbox overload, resulting in improved business functionality. With the new centrally located messaging platform, ESH employees can also access and share important information more easily than ever before.
