In collaboration with honorary co-chairs Mrs. Maggie Daley and the South African Consul General in Chicago, Pearl Nomvume Magaqa, the CJP will host the festivities entitled "Chicago Jazz Philharmonic: Hope in Action" on July 21, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park in Chicago with support from The City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. The concert is free to the public.

The musical suite that will be performed during this celebration is part one of a concert series titled "HUMANITY" and will kick-off a collection of free concerts at Millennium Park (www.millenniumpark.org).
