Talley Metals Raises Prices on Stainless Grades
HARTSVILLE, S.C.-(Business Wire)-May 19, 2008 - Talley Metals, a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology Corporation (NYSE:CRS), has announced that it will increase base prices approximately 3% on all stainless products to help off-set rising manufacturing costs. The increase is effective on all shipments beginning July 1, 2008.
Talley Metals sells stainless steel long products, as well as standard precipitation-hardening grades, to U.S. metals distributors. Carpenter Technology, based in Wyomissing, Pa, produces and distributes specialty alloys, including stainless steels, titanium alloys, super alloys, and various engineered products.
