Advertising Age Magazine Ranks Merkle Among World's Largest Marketing Agencies
LANHAM, Md.-(Business Wire)-May 6, 2008 - Merkle (www.merkleinc.com), one of the nation's largest and fastest-growing database marketing agencies, today announced that it ranks among the nation's top 10 Direct Marketing Agencies, in the top 15 U.S. Marketing Services Agencies, and among the top 30 Agency Companies in the world. The rankings were published in the May 5 issue of Advertising Age magazine (www.adage.com). The magazine's "2008 Agency Report" ranks marketing and advertising companies according to their 2007 revenue.
In 2007, Merkle's revenue totaled nearly $181 million, which represents a 21% growth rate from the previous year. This revenue places Merkle in the number 7 slot on Advertising Age's Top 50 Direct Marketing Agencies list. Merkle also ranks number 13 among the Top 50 U.S. Marketing Services Agencies. Among the Top 50 Marketing Organizations Worldwide, Merkle ranks number 29 and is listed among agencies based in major cities such as New York, London, San Paulo, Paris, Tokyo and Sydney.
