Global Ecology Corporation Announces $2 Million in Initial Sales from Mexico Project
KEASBEY, N.J.-(Business Wire)-May 6, 2008 - The recently re-named Homeland Security Network, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HSYN), doing business as Global Ecology Corporation (GEC) announced today that it has received their initial order from its soil remediation project in Juarez, Mexico. The total value of the purchase orders, involving several of the partnership's soil-based products, is $2 million with delivery to begin this June.
Company Chairman Joseph Battiato stated, "We are especially pleased that our first order has happened so quickly. Our original goal was to start delivery in late July, however, this early success in addition to the sales we are now negotiating indicate that we're not only moving in the right direction, but more rapidly than our original plan."
GEC's joint venture partner, Huma-Clean, has secured a contract with Mexico to remediate over eight million cubic yards of polluted sludge from waste water treatment facilities in the Juarez area. According to Mickey Cox, President of Huma-Clean, "This sale only represents 60,000 cubic yards of our Organic Gourmet Soil and Organic Soil Plus products. Based on this site's available quantities, we're projecting total sales from this site will exceed $200 million. It'll probably take another few years to process this site, but we're already working on contracts for additional projects that will produce three or four times more Organic Gourmet Soil than what is currently in Juarez. It will be a matter of scaling-up our soil production to meet the demand."
