VanDuzen Takes Top Spot at 2008 WBTshowcase

DALLAS-(Business Wire)-April 30, 2008 - VanDuzen Inc., a 3D visualization and modeling company, won "Best of Show" at the 2008 WBTshowcase held at the Hilton Arlington March 26-27. The $10,000 top prize was sponsored by Cimarron Capital Partners.

"The 2008 WBTshowcase featured great technologies and we are honored to have been chosen by the jurors," said Nancy Hairston, president and CEO of VanDuzen. "This event provides emerging companies with information, access to capital markets and quality mentors."

Paul Huleatt, WBTshowcase CEO, said, "2008 marks the first year ever that our judges have awarded our top prize to a Texas technology." The 2008 event involved more than 75 presenters and over 450 attendees, including venture investors and Fortune 500 licensees.

Huleatt added, "We look forward to watching VanDuzen take their award-winning technology to market and beyond."

VanDuzen's award-winning presentation involved its MedCAD division, and featured a software initiative that streamlines MedCAD's already cutting-edge mass customization and rapid prototyping process for medical implants.

An additional benefit of this process for both physicians and patients is medical professionals can use the 3D patient model to simulate surgery and plan complex treatment.

MedCAD is currently working with the United States military creating reconstructive implants for soldiers injured in Middle East combat.
