SOUTHAMPTON, England-(Business Wire)-March 13, 2008 - TANDBERG Television, part of the Ericsson group, celebrated the fifth industry award for its iPlex UltraCompression HD and SD IPTV head-end solution last night at a ceremony held at IPTV World Forum in London. The solution won the highly coveted 'Best IPTV Head-end & Video Processing Technology' IPTV World Series Award, which was chosen by a prestigious group of judges. The award was given for the latest transcoding capabilities in the TANDBERG iPlex UltraCompression IPTV head-end. The system is already enabling IPTV business models for operators around the world.
