Betsy Hill Named President of Learning Enhancement Corporation
CHICAGO-(Business Wire)-March 11, 2008 - Learning Enhancement Corporation (LEC) announced that Betsy Hill has been named President of the company and elected to the company's board of directors; she continues as Chief Operating Officer, a title she has held since December 2006. She joined the company as VP, Marketing in 2005.
Ms. Hill has more than 25 years of general management and marketing experience in both consumer and business-to-business channels. Prior to joining LEC, Ms. Hill served in multiple management and marketing roles for The NutraSweet Company (food ingredients), Illinova Energy Partners (energy information services), and The viaLink Company (retail supply chain technology). She also founded Marketing Pro Tempore, a marketing consulting firm.
Ms. Hill serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Chicago State University. Since 2003, she has been a professor in the MBA program at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, teaching strategic thinking.
Ms. Hill earned a B.A. at Wellesley College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa; a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Northwestern University; and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she became a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
