Books-A-Million Signs Agreement to Open in Greensboro, NC
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-(Business Wire)-February 13, 2008 - Books-A-Million, Inc. (NASDAQ:BAMM) today announced that it will soon be bringing its tradition of selling great books at low prices to Greensboro, North Carolina. The Company is opening a location in the Jefferson Village, which is managed and developed by Zimmer Development Co.
"Zimmer Development Company is pleased to bring Books-A-Million to Jefferson Village, which will further complement the mixture of restaurants, national retailers and local shops serving north Greensboro," said Rod Young, Director of Development for Zimmer. "With construction beginning this spring, Books-A-Million will be coupled with small shops and a day spa on the main plaza next to the fountain."
Books-A-Million selected the Greensboro location based on its knowledge of this growing market, having operated in the Burlington area since 1999. Books-A-Million has 17 other locations in North Carolina.
Like the more than 200 locations throughout the United States, Books-A-Million's Greensboro store will offer residents an expansive selection of books, magazines, collectibles, gifts and much more.
