Paragon Software Expands Presence in Americas; Appoints Tom Fedro to Head Operations Throughout US, Canada, Central and South America
IRVINE, Calif.-(Business Wire)-February 13, 2008 - Paragon Software Group (PSG), today announced its expansion in the Americas with the opening of offices in Irvine, Calif. The company also announced that is has appointed software veteran, Tom Fedro as president of the Americas division. The Irvine location will serve as the US headquarters for the company, who also has offices in northern California.
Recognized as a leading provider of innovative software and technologies addressing both data storage and mobile productivity applications, Paragon Software Group was originally founded in 1994 in Germany and has achieved noted success throughout Europe and Asia. With the opening of the Americas headquarters in Irvine, Paragon will tap into the tremendous market potential for its software products, aligning with key partners, establishing strong sales channels and supporting customers.

The new office represents the company's commitment and focus to having a strong presence in the Americas. Fedro is charged with building a team and is actively recruiting talent in areas of sales, marketing and customer support. "Irvine is the high tech corridor for Orange County and provides a good talent base to draw from that will enable us to meet our aggressive growth plans," said Tom Fedro, Paragon's newly appointed president of the Americas.
Prior to joining Paragon Software, Fedro was executive VP of sales, marketing and operations at FarStone Technology, a software firm focused on applications that optimize the performance and data security of PCs and networks. He also held vice president and general management roles at Fidelity National Financial, one of the nation's most comprehensive sources for financial services and related technology solutions. Earlier he was VP of sales and marketing at Coral Systems and SCI, both software providers focused on billing, churn management and fraud detection applications for mobile phone operators worldwide. Over Fedro's long career of nearly 20 years he has consistently been recognized for successfully opening new and difficult markets with innovative software solutions.
