USA Uranium Appoints Mining Director and Begins Preparation of Qualifying Geological Reports
LAS VEGAS-(Business Wire)-February 11, 2008 - USA Uranium Corp., (OTCBB:USAU): The Company is pleased to announce that Dr. Earl W. Abbott, Ph.D. (geology) has agreed to assume the management position of Director of Mining Operations, in addition to his current role as a Director and Chairman of the Company's Board of Uranium Advisors.
At Dr. Abbott's recommendation, the Company will immediately engage a Qualified Person to begin the preparation of geological Technical Reports, in National Instrument 43-101 format, on each of the Utah located, La Sal West, Browns Hole, Loa and I-70 uranium properties.
The Reports will include details of all past uranium and vanadium production from the mines on the properties, the numerous historical mines and drill holes will be identified on aerial photos and accurately plotted on our base maps, with particular attention to patterns of close spaced drilling. Additionally, the Report on the La Sal/Browns Hole properties will relate this data to the extensive and highly encouraging data accumulated during the recent internal Geological Evaluation completed using an advanced radon survey technology.
The Company will receive the Reports within 75 days and these Reports will form the basis of the Company's ongoing 2008 exploration programs. Once in receipt of the Reports, the Company will be able to determine the location, magnitude and nature of drilling and other exploration activities it will be pursing this year.
Dr. Abbott's presence on the new management team is an invaluable addition to the Company. Since receiving his Ph.D. degree in Geology at Rice University where he studied the tectonics of the western U.S., Dr. Abbott has spent 34 years exploring for various mineral deposits, with several notable successes in the USA.
Over his career, Dr. Abbott has consulted to the mining industry and has been an Officer and Director of several mining companies. He combines strong management skills with a creative vision that enables the Company to apply sound scientific principles in unique ways to the search for profitable mineral deposits.
Dr. Abbott is active in his profession, having served as an executive of numerous professional mining associations. As a result, he has an extensive network of high-level mining industry contacts.
Dr. Abbott is a Certified Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) as well as the past President of the Nevada Chapter. He is also a member and past President of the Geological Society of Nevada (GSN), a member and past President of the Nevada Petroleum Society (NPS), a member and past President of the Denver Region Exploration Geologists Society (DREGS), a member of the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG), a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME), a member of the Geological Society of America (GSA), a member of the Northwest Mining Association (NWMA). Dr. Abbott is also Qualified Person under the rules of National Instrument 43-101.
