Flame Seal Updates Investment Community Regarding: The OEM Program, a Major Breakthrough, the Executive Team
HOUSTON-(Business Wire)-February 8, 2008 - CURRENT NEWS ITEM
UPDATE: Flame Seal Products' OEM program is now experiencing breakthroughs on several fronts, in no small part due to the input and advice of our Advisory Committee (executive team), which advised that our primary focus must always be based on continual analysis of the ever-increasing number of tougher fire codes. In the past, tracking this fast-evolving regulatory system has proved a complex and difficult task, but the Advisory Committee outlined the best processes for analysis, and the results during the last few weeks have been dramatic.
FOAMED PLASTICS (The "Holy Grail"): The No.1 focal point of Flame Seal, after evaluation of the Markets and the Latest Fire Codes is Foamed Plastic Insulation. This project has taken the most dramatic turn of them all. Flame Seal has formed an alliance within the industry that assures promotion, marketing and distribution from within that market by one of its Technology Leaders. This industry, after complete analysis, is the largest market for Flame Seal's products, and, due to codes that are already in effect for which no equitable solution exists, it is an industry with a void that needs to be filled. Currently companies are forced to comply with these codes by expensive, difficult methods, including covering foam with sheetrock, sheet metal, or even cement! The particular code for this, after complete analysis, matches FLAME SEAL's FX-100 product almost perfectly. Intense test research during the last 4 weeks confirms FX-100 + our newest coating advances are a perfect match for this code. Mid-scale testing is already complete which confirms that Flame Seal will be the first and only company to pass this code with only a coating! This will fill that "void" in the industry and will revolutionize that industry with regard to compliance with these fire and safety regulations. This void is so dramatic that throughout the industry, the test that is required to qualify a coating for use on foam is referred to as "The Holy Grail". THAT is the test we are now passing on an intermediate scale! Full scale testing is next. Formal Contracts and Testing Schedules are being worked out as this is being written. The name of our partner company and more details will be announced after we receive clearance to do so.
WOOD: Negotiations are complete with wood products manufacturing companies within Flame Seal's OEM Program, and prices have been established which will cover all finished wood industries. The timing is perfect because a number of new fire regulations have become mandatory as of 1-1-08 in State jurisdiction areas, 7-1-08 in local jurisdiction areas, per the California State Fire Marshal's office. A marketing program is being designed by our new Marketing Director who is presently on the Advisory Committee.
MATTRESSES: The mattress & padding companies in Flame Seal's OEM Program are currently working on making changes in factory systems and production lines to accommodate a liquid applied fire protection. Reports from them indicate this is going well, but that more time is needed. Progress will be reported as it occurs.
FLOORING: The much anticipated Marketing push in Hardwood Flooring is still planned for late February. The largest flooring trade shows in March are being targeted by Songgo-Ritty to begin promoting the Class A flooring and Firewall rated plywood sub-floors as developed for them by Flame Seal. Updates will be provided as the trade show dates approach.
BOEING: The new advances noted above are being forwarded to Boeing, which will enhance their ability to provide solutions with reduced weight, which is always a prime concern in aircraft. More will be reported in later press releases as we receive updates and feedback.
ATLAS REFINERY INC: Sales to Aircraft Leather via Atlas have leveled off, and declined slightly in the last couple of months, compared to the growth that was evident mid-to-late last year. Work between Flame Seal and Atlas is ongoing to address marketing issues that may affect this business. More information will be provided as this develops.
AUDITS: Financial Audits are almost complete. That will be a welcome conclusion!
From the President:
"Flame Seal has made some very dramatic advances in its R&D and Marketing work for its OEM Program, and this quarter is shaping up to be our pronouncement to industry that we are here in a big way, here to stay, and here to serve! Whereas being approved and Qualified by Boeing as an Aerospace provider had demonstrated our technical capabilities and product potential, the "Holy Grail" of the Foamed Plastics Industry will announce our arrival as a major player in this industry.
As for the Executive Team, as noted in the outlines above, these gentlemen are actively helping us every day. Marketing plans are being developed, future plans for growth and proper direction are being laid out, constant feedback regarding mistakes NOT to make, are all priceless contributions to this effort. Evidence the analysis, focus, targeting, and results with the "Holy Grail" above! However, the formal introductions are still on hold for a bit longer. Lawyers are still working the details, and there are still points being haggled over the transition. Please be patient regarding this, and realize that if their input as the Advisory Committee gets us where we want to be, in the end it's all a positive for the Company, and in the end, that is what we are all looking for. My dear shareholders, partners, friends... keep your eyes on us the next two months!"
