CTIA WIRELESS 2008(R) Announces 3rd Annual ''Fashion In Motion'' $10,000 College Scholarship for Technology, Fashion & Design Students
WASHINGTON, D.C.-(Business Wire)-January 31, 2008 - CTIA WIRELESS 2008(R), the premier event for everything wireless, is accepting submissions for their 3rd Annual Fashion In Motion Scholarship Award Program for college technology, fashion and design students. The $10,000 scholarship is awarded to a student or class project that combines wireless technology and fashion to produce a vision of the future in wearable wireless communication technology.
Students are encouraged to submit their designs of either existing or prototype products, to be judged by leaders from the technology and fashion industries.
Selected products will be featured at Fashion In Motion taking place during CTIA WIRELESS April 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The winner will be showcased in the finale runway show and receive a $10,000 scholarship provided by CTIA.
Entries will be judged on the following criteria: innovation and creativity; viability; applicability to culture and lifestyle; and fashion and style. CTIA's technology fashion show, Fashion In Motion, is a collection of the most innovative and creative products and prototypes in the wearable wireless arena. This couture style fashion show features the latest wireless devices, accessories, technical textiles, smart fabrics, and fashions available today, along with the futuristic visions of tomorrow.
Last year's winner of the $10,000 Fashion In Motion Scholarship was awarded to Ozan Cakmakci, a student at the University of Central Florida for his eyeglass-based display design.
