U.S. Energy Savings Announces Donation to New York's EnergyShare Program
NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-January 30, 2008 - U.S. Energy Savings (www.usesc.com), a leading energy retailer with operations in New York and Buffalo, is pleased to announce a $15,000 corporate donation to the EnergyShare Program.
"The EnergyShare Program helps thousands of low-income individuals and families throughout New York City and Westchester pay their heating bills," said Brennan Mulcahy, Chief Executive Officer of USES. "We are happy to help EnergyShare reach even more families in need."
Working in partnership with KeySpan and Con Edison, HeartShare Human Services of New York, the administrator of the EnergyShare Program, makes grants of up to $200 to those in need or those on the verge of having their services disconnected. These grants are supported largely by donations from the community. The more money collected, the more people they are able to assist through these programs.
"Being the administrator of EnergyShare, we hear the stories of people in need," said HeartShare President and CEO William R. Guarinello. "At a time when we see corporate America decreasing their help, it is refreshing to see a company like U.S. Energy Savings giving to those in need. This contribution is going to make a difference for numerous families this winter."
To help mark the event, USES's Director, Regulatory Affairs Francis Pullaro will present the $15,000 check to HeartShare, the Program's administrator, on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 1h30 pm EDT at HeartShare's offices, 12 MetroTech Center, 29th Floor, Brooklyn, NY.
"Like the EnergyShare Program, USES strongly recognizes the power of teamwork and is dedicated to making a positive contribution to the communities we serve," added Brennan Mulcahy. "Through our corporate Energy Savings Fund for Warmth program, we are proud to support HeartShare in its efforts."
