Teva Partners with Asthma Foundation and NBA to Go Pro for Asthma Education, Prevention and Treatment
NORTH WALES, Pa.-(Business Wire)-April 2, 2007 - Teva Specialty Pharmaceuticals - USA is partnering with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) on a public education campaign asking the more than 20 million asthma sufferers - Are You Ready To Go Pro?
AAFA is the leading national nonprofit patient advocacy organization for people with asthma and allergies. As part of the program, one lucky asthma patient will win the opportunity to meet an NBA player or legend at the 2007 NBA Draft in New York City.
"This program is extremely important to us because education about responsible asthma management is essential to the asthma community," said Mark Salyer, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Teva Specialty Pharmaceuticals - USA, the respiratory therapy unit of Teva Pharmaceuticals. The "Are You Ready To Go Pro?" initiative offers asthma patients access to educational information to help take better care of their disease and improve their quality of life, while also emphasizing the importance of health and fitness.

Individuals can register for the Go Pro contest in which the winner and a guest will attend the 2007 NBA Draft on June 28 at New York's Madison Square Garden. If your symptoms become significantly worse when you use ProAir(R) HFA, contact your doctor immediately. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
