LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.-(Business Wire)-February 17, 2009 - IDEAS announced that it will be moving its operation to downtown Orlando in April, 2009. IDEAS currently is located in the backlot of Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Studios) at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

"After 7+ years operating as an independently owned company on the Disney property, we’re excited to take the next step in our company’s growth," Bob Allen, Owner and Principal Executive of IDEAS noted. "Our new home will be distinctively IDEAS with the creativity our clients have come to expect from us, while evolving a work environment that will allow us to expand our client reach and accessibility."

IDEAS will continue working in the same disciplines - entertainment, learning, and marketing - while utilizing this new location to expand its offerings to clients and continuing to develop IDEAS’ own intellectual property.

“I am thrilled to welcome IDEAS to Downtown Orlando,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “Bringing this innovative and inventive company downtown builds on the City’s plans to develop the Creative Village, a place where high-tech, digital media and creative industry companies integrate with residential, retail and academia in a neighborhood that is connected to the surrounding community and globally plugged in. This emerging Creative Village – with companies like IDEAS - will continue to diversify our economy by attracting high-value and high-wage jobs that will drive the future of Central Florida and grow the next generation economy.”

“We are pleased to have provided a location that has contributed to IDEAS growth over the past several years,” said Walt Disney World President Meg Crofton. “Companies like IDEAS are critical to further diversifying our region’s economy and we wish Bob and his team well as they take this natural step toward continuing to grow their business.”

The new home of IDEAS will be at 64 E. Concord Street, just off Orange Avenue and Colonial Drive in Orlando, Florida. To follow the journey of the downtown migration of IDEAS go to www.ideasorlando.com/ideasnewhome.

“Having the IDEAS team centrally located in the downtown corridor is an excellent opportunity for their creative talents to be showcased and accessed by so many diverse businesses,” commented Darren Sparks, Director, Strategic Marketing Partnerships USA, Siemens. “As other Central Florida businesses are introduced to their creative teams, they too, will discover why we continue to work with them on multiple projects across various industry sectors.”

In early July, 2001, the Walt Disney World® Resort sold Disney IDEAS to Bob Allen in a management buy-out. Since that time, IDEAS has been involved with Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning projects, won a Brandon Hall Gold award for excellence in eLearning, and helped the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau gain accreditation from the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) - just to name a few of the awards won by IDEAS.
