Bideawee Appoints Board Chair
NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-February 12, 2009 - Bideawee’s Board of Directors has elected a new Chair, Mary M. Luria Esq. Bideawee also has selected new members for its governing executive committee:Vice Chairs are Andrew S. Frey and William A. Dueker Jr, Secretary is Keith Manning, DVM; Treasurer is Joseph M. Garrison.
About Mary M. Luria, Esq.:
Mary Luria has been a member of the Bideawee Board since 2002. She has served on the Manhattan Shelter Committee, the Nominating Committee and, most recently, the Executive Committee. A lawyer who graduated from Radcliffe College and Yale Law School, she and her firm, Davis & Gilbert LLP, provide pro bono legal services and support to Bideawee. Her own practice focuses on intellectual property protection and licensing, publishing, and other media. Mary grew up with dogs and cats and now has seven cats, all of which are adoptions from shelters or from the outdoors of her house, ranging in age from six months to ten years. Her other extracurricular activities are gardening and photography. Prior to joining the Bideawee Board, she served on the Board of the Mercantile Library and the Publications Committee of the New York Academy of Sciences.
