Speaker Panel Changes at Free Public Relations Webinar Geared to PR Professionals and Journalists
NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-February 11, 2009 - “From the News Cycle to the Spin Cycle,” a free Business Wire webinar geared to public relations professionals and journalists who may find themselves gravitating to the PR profession, will take place Thursday, February 19, with a slight change in panelists.
Lai Ling Jew, a Senior Vice President at Fenton Communications in New York, will replace her colleague Amanda Fox, also of Fenton Communications, on the panel.
"The webinar is being presented as a public service to Business Wire clients and colleagues on both sides of the media relations aisle," said Monika Maeckle, Vice President of New Media for Business Wire. “With massive media layoffs and restructuring, this tough time in our industry calls for understanding,” she added.
Jew, a former general assignment/investigative producer at Dateline NBC, joins the panel of broadly experienced PR professionals. Among them:
Bill Day, former deputy business editor turned communications manager for Valero Energy Corporation, Fortune # 16,
Lynn Kettleson, founder of his own PR firm and a newspaper reporter in a previous life, and
David Postman, who left life as a political reporter and blogger at the Seattle Times to work media relations for Vulcan, the company founded by Paul Allen of Microsoft.
