WASHINGTON-(Business Wire)-February 8, 2009 - Profile America — Sunday, February 8th. Corvette fans from across the country are focused on the town of Puyallup, Washington, where the annual Corvette and High Performance meet is winding up its 35th gathering today. Some 10,000 fans of the American sports car are expected to stroll through a swap meet of a thousand booths, featuring new and used parts, automobilia, and cars for sale. Many will be looking for just the one part needed to finish a restoration that has taken years to complete. The first Corvette was assembled in 1953. Car shows are popular in all parts of the nation and more than 17 million people enjoy them each year.
