URS Selected for U.S. Marine Corps Program Management and Logistics Support Contract
SAN FRANCISCO-(Business Wire)-February 6, 2009 - URS Corporation (NYSE:URS) today announced that it has been selected to provide program management, acquisition and logistical support services to the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command’s Program Office for Engineer Systems. The contract, which includes a one-year base period followed by two one-year options, has a maximum value of $43 million to URS, if all options are exercised.
Under the terms of the contract, URS will assist the Marine Corps in the acquisition, fielding and sustainment of equipment used for several Marine Corps programs and activities including, Mobility and Countermobility (MCM), Construction and Material Handling Equipment (CE/MHE), Engineer Support Equipment (ESE), and Lifecycle support.
