STG International Releases White Paper on the Head Start Program
ALEXANDRIA, Va.-(Business Wire)-February 5, 2009 - STG International, Inc. (STG), a leading provider of mission-critical and staffing services for the federal government, announces the release of a new white paper, “Running Start: A tale of two regions, prescient leadership, and the evolving government mandate for Head Start training and technical assistance”.
“Running Start” is being released following the inauguration of President Barak Obama, whose administration has placed early childhood education at the forefront of the education agenda. President Obama’s administration promises to “quadruple Early Head Start, increase Head Start funding and improve quality for both” to address early childhood education shortcomings in the current system. For more information on the President’s stance on education, visit http://www.whitehouse.gov/agenda/education/.
The Head Start program is no stranger to modification and “Running Start” chronicles the joys and trials of adapting the Head Start education program to ever-changing government mandates, including the most recent 2007 reauthorization. It is a behind the scenes look at what STG International’s dedicated employees are doing to assist the Head Start mission and how they continue to be proactive and adapt to past changes in the Head Start program.
STG International has been helping Head Start regions with the Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) System for years and recently won multiple contracts to continue its support in Head Start Region IV, Head Start Region IX as well as the states of Illinois, New York and Louisiana.
