Transpartisan Alliance Forms Sunshine Cabinet
DENVER-(Business Wire)-February 3, 2009 - In nine days, on the evening of Lincoln’s Bicentennial, February 12 at 7pm MST the Transpartisan Alliance will present an interim national Sunshine Cabinet to serve as the voice of over 110 million Americans seeking to Reunite America while ensuring that the voices not heard during the recent national elections are included in the national policy dialogue.
Confirmed members of the Sunshine Cabinet include Green Party presidential nominee Cynthia McKinney, monetary reform leader Ron Paul, co-founder of MoveOn.org Joan Blades, conservative activist Grover Norquist, co-founder of the Liberty Coalition Michael Ostrolenk, human potential movement visionary Barbara Marx Hubbard, humorist Steve Bhaerman, and director of the Committee for a Unified Independent Party Jackie Salit. Pending invitations include Ralph Nader, as well as Constitution Party presidential nominee Chuck Baldwin.
The American Citizens’ Summit, taking place at the Denver Sheraton Premier February 11-15th is the first annual and nation-wide meeting convened by the Transpartisan Alliance, a network of networks facilitating communication among all political points of view. At the Summit there will be a mix of traditional and forward thinking voices — the constitutionist movement, the liberty movement, the progressive movement, the green movement, the free market conservative movement, the women’s movement, the independent movement, the End the Fed movement, the new media movement, the 9-11 Truth movement and many unaffiliated Americans who don’t identify with any movement at all. The gathering will focus on key questions such as:
- What is the state of our Union?
- What is our vision for America?
- What values, principles, and policy priorities should guide us from where we are today to where we want to be in five years?
The event will also provide political empowerment training including Spiral Dynamics, a model for understanding worldview and belief systems, and will introduce online engagement tools such as DeepDebate.org.
The event will produce innovative, win/win policy options for the economy, energy, health, and other pressing challenges; innovative strategies for re-establishing an accountable, transparent system of governance; new allies and deeper connections among a transpartisan network of networks; and proof that win/win politics is both possible and practical.
We invite citizens from all points of view to join us for this important trust-building, bridge building event. Learn more or register now by visiting www.transpartisan.net.
