YOUNTVILLE, Calif.-(Business Wire)-February 2, 2009 - Domaine Chandon, the leading sparkling wine producer in the Napa Valley, has partnered with DKNY to celebrate DKNY’s twentieth anniversary by creating a custom sparkling wine aptly called “Twenty Year Cuvée” by Chandon. This unique sparkling wine features a DKNY-designed label that highlights the brand’s signature New York skyline imagery. It is now available for $50/bottle (750ml) on chandon.com (or $12.50/bottle for a convenient 187ml size).

Modern, savvy, and full of attitude, this wine is made by Chandon as a tribute to the iconic American designer. Like many of DKNY’s fashion creations, this sparkling wine is richly textured and brightly colored with a seamless structure and soft texture. To create this custom cuvée, Chandon winemakers incorporated library wines spanning two decades, representing DKNY’s 20 years. This sophisticated blend offers complex baked apple and ripe pear flavors with a soft, lingering finish.

This one-of-a-kind wine will only be available in 2009 on chandon.com and at the winery. The wine debuted at the Spring fashion show (alongside DKNY’s Collection) in Bryant Park in September 2008 and it is now available at chandon.com. It will be served at various DKNY birthday events throughout 2009, with the celebrations kicking off in January in the city that continues to inspire DKNY - New York. Other events are being planned in London, Boston, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Montreal, Vancouver and India.

To showcase this celebratory cuvée in style, DKNY has designed a custom tote that holds four mini (187ml) bottles of this Chandon-created signature wine. Savvy consumers can bring this ultimate portable luxury to the beach, a picnic or wherever they would enjoy a miniature bottle of bubbly.

“We are delighted to be playing a part in DKNY’s celebration by creating this unique sparkling wine,” says Malcolm Dunbar, President and CEO for Domaine Chandon. “Like DKNY, the Chandon brand represents approachable quality, perfect for every occasion, however formal or casual. We believe that it is a fitting tribute to one of America’s top designers.”
