Campus Card Sales Veteran, Mike Faherty, Joins Event Innovation Inc.
WASHINGTON-(Business Wire)-January 30, 2009 - Event Innovation, a Washington, D.C. based enterprise software company for sports arenas, concerts, and performing arts theaters, announced today the addition of Mike Faherty to the team to lead the sales division in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Mike Faherty is a well-respected sales leader with expertise in the stored value industry and campus card systems providing solutions to hundreds of clients by improving revenue opportunities and reducing costs in the implementation of the solutions. Mike has over 18 years experience which includes sales and service to the senior level university administration. He also served ten years managing the campus card program for Drexel University in which he was responsible for a $10M budget and managed over 20,000 students within the campus card program.
Mike was with Blackboard (NASDAQ:BBBB) for eight years providing complete campus card systems to over 400 campus and universities in the United States. He structured system-wide procurement contracts with some of the largest universities on the east coast:
- University of Maryland
- Including campuses at College Park, Frostburg, Baltimore, Salisbury, Bowie, and Morgan State
- Penn State
- Including campuses at Bloomsburg, Shippensburg, West Chester, Cheyney, Indiana, PA, California, PA and Millersville
Mike received recognition from Blackboard on achieving several goals and winning awards such as Sales Team of the Year – exceeding quota by 20% and awarded to two person teams. Furthermore, he sold the largest Commerce System to date in Blackboard history to JP Morgan Chase which represented over $950,000 in revenue and over 40 locations for the nationwide implementation.
